Guys

I am trying to rename a file and it comes up with

"You require permission to perform this". So, I thought I would run Vista in admin mode to solve it, but noooooo

So, how can I do this?

Is your profile the Admin default one you setup on Vista? If No, you may have to log into the Admin account to make the change?
Or Maybe try rebooting in Safe Mode. Maybe the file is in use and thats why?

I logged in as Admin via setting the admin account on show

cmd -> netuser adminstrator/active :yes (from the top of my head)

then tried it, but no help.

The file is a file my crackberry uses and I am having issues syncing my outlook calender and my crackberry so I read to change / delete this file and it updates / downloads a new one that will work.

Ill try in safe mode this eve :)

You prolly need to change the permissions on the file in the security tab, least chance is going in Advanced and getting the Ownership of the file.

Tried stopping any blackberry service processes running on the box before trying to delete the file?

Recommend deleting from an administrative dos box btw.

Tried a linux live distro and rename it that way. Would have to mount the ntfs filesystem through bash, if it don't mount it automaticaly, but should be easy enougth.
