Hense why I removed it.... There was also a 'I deseve an ASBO' comment there too. Also, I'm not exactly a chav; I respect people. (I don't dress like an idiot either)

Suppose I've become a little more (OMGSTEREOTYPE) 'Normal' since last year. But no where near chavish.

Yea, I was trying to make a point to the people who want all chavs gassed or kneecapped :) re-enforcing the "where to draw the line?" thing :)

EDIT: I removed the direct quote so as to avoid a continuance of the previous argument :)

They still deserve it. If I go out, I respect people, I say "thank you", I hold (sometimes) doors for older/people with kids. I don't walk around in a gang of people who want to assault/insult every living thing.

If you've done something like assault an old person for no reason/break in to something, you deserve an ASBO and a visit to that kid version of prision/or prision if they're an adult.

As this is back on topic, ignore the PM I sent you.

EDIT: Cheers for the comment removal.

Well, murdering them would be a bit past the line. Punishment for anything major they've done should result in that. (Punishment, not death)

People who do it and keep saying "Sorry, I forgot I'm not allowed" or "It wasn't me m8 it waz ma ova m8" should have the same fate, unless proven otherwise.

Something I've always believed is in making their parents pay for any damage costs or debts from court etc., else they would go to prison.

Although, in a way, it could be argued that your going for the wrong people. But even in a yobbish family, the parents will still have the most control (except a small minority of cases). If your throwing mrs and mr. chav with a £500 bill for their son's reckless vandalism, then chances are, that chav is going to get a lecture from mummy and daddy on 'if he ever does that again, his fuckin dead.'

Also:

- community service should be enforced
- prison should be as someone explained earlier in the thread
- policeofficers should have the right to cause damage to a yob without fear of being put against the law himself. This won't deter the 'hardcore' yobs but a group of 14-15 y/o's who receive a broken arm from a police officer WON'T be so quick to do whatever it was they was doing.

Parents in 'yob-hotspots' should be taught how to bring up their kids tbh, cos they do a crap job of it, should be free videos/dvds or somethin (they probably can't/wouldn't be bothered to read a leaflet). Also some sort of buearocratic police force might be an idea, in my area lately i've seen police wagons go by with 'community task force' etc. on the side. I gather they patrol small areas to which they are designated, which seems to have worked to an extent where i live, but there needs to be more of these patrols when this anti-social behaviour is more likely, i hardly ever see them between 8-12 when alot of drunks make their way home along the main road i live on.

Our judicial system is far too leniant, but causin minor harm to them isn't going to deter them anymore, and would just leave the door open for corrupt police officers to abuse the legislation. If you were gonna use brute force as a deterrent it would have to be like judge dread or somethin ^^ badass cops who dont take no shit and will f**k u up if u mess with em.

imo 1 person on every street should be elected to have a rifle and license to kill, and just pop them in the head as they pass... but i cant see that happening :(

I was walking into town on friday night and I saw a chav with his mates trying to kick in some windows of some offices... I mean whats the point? Of course he didn't succeed because he was drunk and just fell on his ass a couple of times.

I would have laughed so hard if his foot had gone through and the glass shattered and went into his eyes... he then would fall over onto some large shards of glass slashing his legs to peices so he could never walk again.

/agree

Big fines for the parents with jail and such if they don't pay, they'll stop being lazy asshole parents then and give some discipline, altho in a lot of cases it will be too late for the tearaway kids imo
