its a crossbreed between DAoC and WoW.... and i cant say they took the best parts of the 2 either
its one of the most "anti social" mmo's ive ever played. everything is instanced. and i mean everything! even the main cities where ppl are supposed to "meet and socialize"... ok it isnt as bad as i may make it look. but its still bad enough.
imo all its got that might make it worth is is the so called no monthly charges (u pay those every 3 months insted when they release a new expansion *read patch* wich in their case would most likly be charged with around the same ammount as a 3 month fee)
I like it so far. You can make an instant level20 (highest level), to start PvP in the arena. Though your character's skills will be very limited, it's still good for a laugh.
If you want to socialise, learn German, French or Spanish
I played it all day yesterday when i got it and thought yea it is pretty anti social, looks okies and the pvp only bit with things being unlocked fom the roleplay bit is a bit weird so so far I think its all just a bit weird Daoc is better for pvp easily still and wow is better for questy type things I think personally think this game just falls short on all aspecs. the emotes (dancing inperticular) wtfpwns tho the weapons and armour models are nice along with the player models (read girls naughty pixel bits) main fault so far is the loneliness of it all, instance your entire life and you get the ideawhat it must be like for these poor people although saying that you can still group with people and enter the same instance together, best bet for that happening though is to get out those translation books and brush up on your languages cos its mainly non english speaker, from what ive seen so far anyway. will let you know when i put game in bin
