Had some nasty pop ups on the proxy websites lately, anyone else? Fake BSOD etc

You probably have malware.

Try Avira/Avast/Malwarebytes, and get ublock origin installed.

All my piratebay proxies are blocked by Firewall right now due to this.

Just to explain, you know when you click on a link on pb, and up pops an advert for William Hill ? Then you click again ,and get another, then click again and get the actual link? It's always done that, annoying but not the end of the world. Then the other day the advert that popped up was a red screen claiming my pc has been locked, and call this number for help blah blah. I clicked it off and it came back, fairly persistent for a few times then gone. Also the other day I typed a search into that Bing search engine, typed it in well wrong and managed to get to a fake BSOD wanting me to ring a number etc etc. I cntl alt del out of it, and all seemed ok. Then I got the "locked" pop up yesterday which may just be coincidence, dunno though.

Definitely install the uBlock Origin Browser plugin!!

Tried Malwarebytes, found a couple of ad things but no actual bad stuff.

Not had any adds from the alternate ways using adblocker

uBlock deals with some script blocking not just popup ads

Noscript on Firefox works a treat with that particular website...
