Whoa! Got me scared there. Duskwave had some database problems yesterday and here was I thinking now there's something totally screwed up there even though I fixed it
Fortunately - from my point of view anyways - the error seems to be in xml data..
I picked one at random and investigated spellcrafter named Seanthesmall.
He is in The Dark Alliance guild and this is what there is in the guild xml-file.
There seems to be two of them.
Also race seems to be missing form 2nd one
As some people might know, there is problems with GOA concerning deleted characters, they hang around forever. Even if character is afterwards created with same name.
Duskwave.com knows to pick up the most recently active one (/flex) when many are found but it's still nasty bug.
Currently there is thousands of that kind of duplicate characters, I could post a log from Duskwave.com updater where it notes each one it has to skip (there can be more than two characters.
Just one update has about 4-5 MB per server of lines like
---
01:42:51> Preferring last active for name Belofyr in guild Blackbyrd Family, previous guild was Blackbyrd Family
---
Above example is actually my poor Thane, who was level 20 and deleted soon after to make room for Warrior with same name who also is 50 since long
Good thing the deleted ones at least go inactive eventually.. Except if the real one goes inactive too, then there's again no way to determine which one is right one..
Anyways, I'm straying of the topic again (even though in hope someone from GOA would read this).
Regarding this problem, I'm not gonna investigate other any cases (wanna level my SB) but I would guess that they will have similar errors.
Perhaps this bug is just with duplicate characters and their data is messed up somehow in xml.
