I have an xbox 360 with xbox live and Ghost Recon 3 (damn its good), does anyone else have this? My idea was to make a post where you could put your xbox gamer tags. (not posting in the console section cause i dont wanna be their friends hehe)

My tag is BahumatDAoC

As most people on this Forum post here regularly it would be cool to occasionally shoot you....yes that sounds sick but im talking game only lol.

I don't play consoles but if I would take one I'd probably also take a Playstation..
Has all the best RPG's on it (Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Front Mission etc etc).
And from what I've seen from the Xbox those have generally FPS which I generally find boring after 1 hour

And you base that on what? Mocked up screenshots and pre-rendered video? No one knows what the PS3 will be like yet, there are no final dev kits till June and as of this moment there is no final silicon to speak of. You can't compare the two based on hypothetical performance stats, real world performance is what matters and none of us will be any the wiser till PS3 ships. Even then don't expect generation 1 titles to be even close to what these machines can deliver, it will be at least 2 years before we see anyone really start to push these two power houses.

X360 has a couple of FF titles in the works, you also have 99 Nights which is another Jap RPG by some legendary Japanese RPG bloke. Bioware have Mass Effect in development and there are at least another 4-5 RPG's slated for this year. In the past Sony has dominated in the RPG market I must admit but alot of those developers who were only did RPG's for PS2 in the last generation are now
developing for both X360 and PS3.

The are in the middle of a spoiling campaign, PS3 is 6 months behind shedule and 100's of millions of dollars over budget, so now they announce things like a 60gb hard drive as standard and an online service. How much extra do you think that is going to inflate the PS3 price? The insider information was a $500 price point before Sony even started to add these new specs, the hard drive alone will add another $100 to that. Seriously, don't buy into everything you read, wait and see what the finalised spec is and how much it costs so you can make in informed choice.

I do agree, the battle is far from won and Sony could well pull the rabbit out of the hat. I am just worried Sony will do well erm a 'Sony' and announce a feature then pull it, just like they did with the extra ethernet ports and router functionality. Also the 2 HDMI ports looks like being cut to one to save cash as well. If they ship what they promise and it doesn't cost twice what the X360 costs I will be buying one myself, even if I do think Blu-Ray is a PoS

All generation 1 games are set for normal DVD btw, Sony have already stated that there will be no games on Blu-Ray at launch iirc.

Sony may well sell the actual unit at a loss tbh - pretty sure they did that with the original Xbox - simply as the majority of money is made from games and not the unit itself - if they price it similar to Xbox 360 then it will fly off the shelf and cut into Xbox's market quite heavily..

Still not buying either - dont need another fancy dvd player tbh

Believe it or not I have not even tried xbox live yet. I am nearly sold on buying the game now after playing the demo, but I am truly shite at fps games on consoles I hate aiming with the stork. So I will probably stay off xbox live still as the old my batteries died excuse only works once or twice.

I don't have any games yet though, just downloading demos off marketplace till I can get some pennies together Farcry is top of the agenda, god that game is fun to play multiplayer.

with going out with friends, riding bmx (damn those skate park floors hurt!), cinema, socialising, clubbing i dont get alot of time for each thing, but sometimes i dont wanna sit down and spend ages on daoc when i could have some instant action via a console.
