xbox live through internet connection sharing

so my old xbox 360 got stolen from my house earlier this summer, and finally the insuranced have replaced my console. what i of course forgot to claim for was my wireless adaptor. d'oh.

so i have been trying to get my new 360 connected through my pc, which apparently is possible with internet connection sharing. can anyone shed any light on how i could get it to work?

my internet setup is as follows:

downstairs pc connected to modem and router with wireless.

upstairs pc (mine, and where my 360 is), is connected to the internet with wireless. i have a network card in the computer that i can connect the 360 up to, but i can't work out how to enable ICS with my wireless connection - or is this even possible?

Plug 360 into router.
Port forward 360 ports
Set IP address on 360.

obviously if that was possible i'd do that, but having a cable running down the stairs isn't too safe and it's 3 floors down, so i can't be drilling through all that space.

Setting that up is quite nearly impossible tbh Eksdee. If it doesnt work when you enable the internet sharing thing on your wireless network card, and after resetting modem & router; it most likely never will

Cheaper to buy a pair of home plugs than a wireless adapter - works just as well i've found.

Tbh Mirieth i'd either check the official forums, or google your question and look at all the other forums this question's probably been posted on.

Normally you can find step by step guides etc
