Microsoft have launched the Xbox Live Arcade, a service which allows users to purchase and download a selection of games.
To access the Arcade a special launcher disc will be bundled free with new Xboxes and will be available from selected stores. For the armchair gamer there is also a phone option (0800 587 1102) where Microsoft will ship one out to you.
The disc features 12 free to play demos including Poker, Hearts, Spades, Backgammon, Chess... Puzzle and trivia games are also included along with a selection of classic arcade games. Unlocking the demos will set you back £7.49 - £11.50 depending on the game.
