I was under the impression that there is no way to 'share' or 'stream' video without Windows Media Centre version and MCE video encoder (or some other app that converts on the fly).
thats what i have on my PC and works fine i play music on my 360 every day. So i can honestly 100% say it works. You DL media player 10 then go to the URL it states on your 360 when you try to connect and download the share thingy and hey presto it works
Sorry I was referring to video playback/streaming. There is no way to do this without windows media centre or by converting to WMV first (which is just plain gay).
Well that's just fucking stupid. I guess it's not the biggest deal as I have my pc hooked up to my projector and play vids through that but still. Willfully restricting the capabilities of a piece of hardware is really very shit.
atm chipping an x360 is pointless unless you wana pirate games. and atm ther arnt that many games that are must haves for x360. all these chips do is detect if you bang in a dvdr disc so if its a back up it switches firmware or some thing so you can play it as backup. atm they say nme chip is a pain in the ass for ms as they cant counter it for some reason.
anyways some crafty bugger some where will hope fully get to run un signed code on the x360. xbmx with usb2 pvr dongle would rawk
