Greetings.

I'm trying to hook up my 360 to a nice 32" lcd hdtv, but it's not working :(

When i connect it via a scart lead (so all 6 plugs - yellow/white/red for the scart, then green/red/blue for the other input) it works fine, although the picture is so shit its not even worth playing on.

When i change it around so the plugs are all reconnected except the yellow one it doesn't work at all, no sound, no picture, nada.

The cable is an official microsoft one so its not a dodgy cable, the cable has been changed from tv > hdtv.

Any ideas? :(

Adjust the screen resolution of the XBox (or the TV), so the TV doesn´t have to interpolate the pixels?

I'm no expert, but try a different resolution on you're xbox (480p, 780p or 1080i), or simply chance to a different AV channel. Worked for me! ;d

You did get a proper HDTV right and no some cheapo LCD that doesn't support 720p?

If so you need to make sure the Red Green Blue portion of the cable are plugged in securely, make sure you aren't connection the red audio to the red video by mistake because you won't be getting any video that way. If not post back or grab me on MSN.

you also flicked the switch on the cable so its viewing in HD too?

EDIT: ignore me you did

mine also shows on COMP channel and not an AV channel

erm, all cables but the yellow one?

3 of the cables are for hd connections (Green, red, blue)
3 of them are for standard def (red, white, yellow)

So are you using white/red for sound whilst using component? and has the xbox been rebooted in between switching??

edit: and make sure the signal source is set to component or ypbpr
