£300 :/

They really never learn. Or is it just that they know hundreds of xbox mugs will pay that price regardless?

not sure which of the big papers i read it, guardian, telegraph or times but the article suggested that like with ps2 sony would have no problems slashing prices where ms will be making a loss and ninty may end up in the grave. but it did make good point about both consoles will have same games released like, ea's nfs series, fifa seres, konamis pes series, prince of persia series, and splinter cell cell. pointing out both ms,ninty and sony only have a few exlusive games between em. and silent hill , mgs and gta series often make a cross console leap few months after ps2 release.

id say gt4 is better game than forza for sp but multiplayer wise there is no game to match forza not even gtr on pc

Yes, the lack of Tekken 5 and Soul Calibur 3 make XBox an ickle toddler.

Is the dead or alive series on PS2? I have dead or alive 3 on xbox, cant think of a more fun beat em up. :D

What will PS3 have in the way of online features? It seems Xbox 360 has lots of unique ideas going into it (like sort of being a media pc and having quick access to those features through the new button on the control pad).

Looks shit - looks like another nurdling's console to me.

It's also far too early to release a new Xbox, the first one is still in the growth stage of its product life cycle.
Actually it's the perfect time. MS clearly want to be hitting at sony punch for punch right from the start of the next round of the console wars. We're all aware that the xbox was very much a game of catch up from the very start.

The one good thing MS did was get their internet play working right. That is the thing Sony has to catch up on and if they can do that then this new Xbox offering will remain in the dog house.

Gamespot.com's coverage of E3 is amazing as aways, and the Xbox 360 Vids, look mind blowing, I really can't wait my C/C is getting warmed up.

Not backwards compatable

Quiet simply Microsoft are the first one to have been caught lying about the new consoles -

The XBox 360 is not backwards compatible - the games have to be completely recompiled i.e. you will need a new disc i doubt Microsoft will be giving them away free when they can get cold hard cash for them.

Recompiled doesn't neccessarily mean a new disc, they may be able to recompile just before the game boots up from the original xbox version. Until it's actually fully unvieled we won't really know.

Tut, tut Ukle. You didn't read your own link did you?

from the link"At launch, Xbox 360 will be backward compatible with the top Xbox games," Xbox PR manager Michael Wolf told GamesIndustry.biz today. "Our goal is to have every Xbox game work on Xbox 360. You will NOT need to purchase a new 'version' - your original games will work on Xbox 360."

They have changed the article :) Guess the original article was wrong and Microsoft ordered them to change it or be sued so the original cant be found :)
