X-fire Statistics

Just found these. For those who dont know what x-fire is, its a program that tracks your gaming hours played. And does funky things aswell, like cross game message client, tracks kills / deaths, lists servers your playing on with the ability for a friend to join you.

Anyhow, it just amazes me that games like Diablo 2, and Halo got more hours played then most MMO's. That and the fact more play realy old bad MMO's like SWG, then new worlds, and new idea MMO's like Vanguard.....
Even of the top 10 MMO's the top 5 has 3 free to play MMO's, with 4 being in the top 10 in total. A sign of things to come possibly?
With the realease of that GOA.com site. The fact that guildwars 2 is comming, and other games along those lines, like Fury, proves that free to play can, and most importantly, does work.

Oh yeah this isnt like mega conclusive or anything, millions dont have x-fire installed, or have even heard of it. Im sure WoW would have an even larger share of total gaming hours if everyone had x-fire installed.

Just thought i would share.....

From what I remember it was a resource whore and was on par with Norton for trying to take over your machine. Interesting idea tho.

Used X-Fire (Overdriven) on and off, I didn't have it open while playing DAoC much =D Wouldn't want to see 3000h+ on it

I could on the other hand rob this idea and add it to a game design
