X-fi and Asus mobo problems

Have installed the creative labs x-fi sound card on my asus p5w dh motherboard, problem is the card is not recognised.

Having looked at the creative forums there appears to be a problem with the x-fi cards and mainly ASUS mobo's, so has anyone got one to work, if so how?

I've got the same combination, P5W-DH with a Fatility XFi, although I am running on XP64. Seems to work ok though - although for some reason I don't get EAX options in certain games like EQ2 which I havn't figured out the reason for yet.
