It's X Factor, therefore it will always epic fail. The same with all other TV reality shows. I'd like to curl one off on the pillows of all reality show producers.

Tragically my wife watched it (grounds for divorce imo) and apparently the girl before him was good too - but then she knew that because she'd read it in the paper the day before.....reading what's going to happen before the twatty show? I think I might have to disown her. :(

Yes, my miss's did the same for Britains got Talent, but has decided to not read ahead about X-Factor as she wants it ( as she called it) to be a "treat"

I don't see the problem with watching said shows personally.

People stereotype those watching as stupid, chavvy numpties etc. when people like myself just enjoy seeing great performances like the one above.

Least these people don't get their voice and identities touched up like the hundreds of celebrity singers/actors/models etc.

You do realise the show is 10000000000000000% fixed? ;d

You reckon?

Everyone reckoned Susan Boyle would win BGT. She didn't.

No doubt the production team choose the best stuff and find the sob stories etc. but the performances that are great are from talented people.

It proves fuck all.

We're just arguing semantics anyway. I can argue my side, you can argue your side. Obviously neither of us are going to change our views so lets' be done with it.

All style, very little substance, just another generic RnB singer.

Be careful Bugz, I did not pass judgement on people who watch these - else frankly that would suggest I consider my wife a chav, which I don't.

It is merely disappointing that I can't fit into my life what I want to do, so I'll be damned if I'll waste time watching other peoples' meaningless actions. I agree with you on performance and so X Factor isn't as bad, but shit like Big Brother, oh no.

Aye I know you wasn't passing judgment - was more than a general comment than anything.

I agree with you about BB etc. Such shows truly are a waste of broadcasting time. But I enjoy watching the people on BGT/X Factor who have talent & who have the guts to showcase that talent. Unfortunately, both shows are produced to show the crap stuff & the sob stories over anything else =/

Oh come off it, he does not sing it in the original manner, instead he performs it with RnD and soul overtones.

You may get away with calling it an early 1960's version of rnb but that performance is certainly not like the rnb we see today, which makes your comparison with todays league of rnb artists not at all true.

So you don't see a problem with you watching a show, but see a problem with other people watching other shows? :D

I love X factor :p mainly just the auditions though as they're a riot! There were some freaks but with the live recording you miss a lot which is a shame. However that Danyl go is pretty damn good, that performance could quite easily of been a performance from the live final show :p and he is one handsome man indeed.

People!!

read Ben Elton's 'Chart Throb' even if you don't like him his writing is different and I say this everytime a talent thingy is discussed but if you do or don't like the shows you will love the irony in this book it is soo funny.

Personally I stopped even contemplating watching these shows when I saw one audition and they did the little biopic of the performer before it, cue sad music and then she comes out with "I really want to win this, i had a miscarrage last year and ...." then I switched over. It was nothing to do with talent or lack of, it's to do with the fact that they use emotional blackmail to win votes, I mean come on!!

"Terry is a binman *sad music* he works every day, his family all died while on a trip to the zoo and got tragically trampled to death by japanese tourists, he has an ingrowing toenail and his girlfriend has a wooden leg and his great great great grandma died in 1870 but he's here tonight in the face of all this adversity to show people what the underdog can do, give it up for Terry Durbrain singing Wind beneath my wings!!"

*cue singing binman and female judge weeping with vapid encouraging emile on face and clasped hands, simon cowell with shocked expression and deep knowing gaze*

puh-leese!

Lol cheeky git. You're just upset that the shopkeeper refused to give you the fags thinking you might try and entice teenagers into doing 'secret' things. :p

And still no-one has identified the song that is in the background 4 mins in :(
