Forum Flame Fighting seems to be quite good.

I pick Bodhi as my character...

But seriously, how would you grade the beat'em up? Graphics, playability, etc.? Seems to me it's just a case of personal preference...

If you were broad minded you could say DMC is a 'beat'em up', and that r0x0rs over everything at the moment.

Precisely. Altho according to some people apparently, if a game appears on a Sony branded console, it can't be deemed the best at all. In doing such you are commiting heresy against the great lords Sega and Nintendo :rolleyes:

Hmmm, I just kept moving and jumping on his back. It helps to get the Alstor sword plunge thingy from the power up menu prior to that level.

When you are about to land on him hit L1 and just pummel in attacks. Down and sword does the lunge thing :)

The graphics outside were lovely, I could'nt believe it when I walked outside mmm eye candy.

  • playstation 2 = shit.
  • dc = dead, but cheap too, with a huge selection of games, with a few decent ones in there.
  • gamecube = looks ridiculously fun
  • x-box = all the games look tedious?
SNES owns all :(

Hmm, I think millions of people would disagree about Ps2 being shit. I've had mine a few days and of the three games I got two are killer app titles.

My review of the consoles:

Ps2=excellent machine, weak release line-up put me off.
DC=Sega cheap skates just packaged the naomi board in a console. Did have some excellent games, being able to play a perfect jap. conversion of Sega Rally 2 was brilliant.
GC=Yeah looks fun, shite 1st generation line up of games though.
Xb=Halo, and probally never much else.

Yes the snes did own all, about ten years ago.

Which Gamecube titles are 'ace', they all look like complete wank to me. New Wave Race looks okay but the rest resemble the low quality crap the n64 had to put up with. Either that or you can buy them in another incarnation on older consoles.

Halo abysmal, dunno, seems to be selling shit loads of X-boxs though does'nt it!

Well you can be certain the gc launch lineup will be crap in the uk anyway,even if the games are decent the pal conversion won't be

Wave Race, Super Monkey Ball, Luigi's Mansion, SSX Tricky (much better on the cube) etc. Considerably more than any other recent console.

Yes it does. It shows you that the general public are fucking sheep, and will swallow any shit fed to them by the Media.

SSX tricky isn't that much better on the gc apart from graphics so i wouldn't count it as a must have title if you've played it on the ps2, not all ports from ps2 to cube are better,thps3 being a fine example ,you can play it online on the ps2 and not on a cube so the ps2 version not only is out first but is better than the cube version.

SSX Tricky and THPS3 are identical on PS2, Gamecube and Xbox. That tends to happen with ports :)

Wave Race perhaps but Super monkey ball? wtf is that. Hardly seems a system seller does it. Luigis Mansion (refer http://cube.ign.com/reviews/15453.html) looks very sub-standard and my bro. (who played it when in America) told me it looked nice but it was dull. Its reviews have reflected that.
SSX tricky (refer to http://cube.ign.com/reviews/15722.html), don't really pay much attention to snowboarding games, with the exception of 1080, which was excellent.

The only Gamecube title I've seen that looks any good is the update of Resident Evil. I hate to say this but it'll be effectively the same game with uber cool gfx. For RE fans it looks good but we already know the outcome and that of the next installment and the next. Resident 4 might be something to shout about but no information is available yet.

Halo, I don't know I have'nt played it yet but perhaps you're right and everyone else is wrong.

Hmmm, dunno if you're still stuck on him but here's how to do it...

GO DEVIL TRIGGER HIS ASS! ;) But seriously, use Alastor and shotteh. When he is in panther form use the shotteh and when he exposes his orb use Alastor (stinger works VERY well for this bit). After that he should be all red so just go back to shooting his big cat ass until he dies. Oh, and by the way, if he catches you it's a good thing 'cos then he just explodes, taking a bit of damage off you, but killing himself. Just remember to keep on jumping around like a madman (you can jump on him too, which paralyses him if he's about to fire that big spike thingy).

If you have trouble on him after that, I'm worried for yas mate :) In one of the secret missions later on you have to fight three of them at once, then later four!
