WWI Colour Photos

As posted in Imaging forum, but this might catch more peoples attention:

I found this collection of WWI Colour Photos on fazed.org absolutely brilliant, the colour camera was invented in 1903 by Auguste and Louis Lumière so they might well be real colour photos, not touched up in photoshop.

Are these 3 photos superimposed, each one taken with a different colour filter (red green blue)?

I wish I had a lens that could do that with dof
