Well then you were lucky.. realy lucky... the 3/3 scroll alone goes for more than this some times.

Book of shades is a bargain at 10p unless you are prepared to farm for 3of3 for 100 hours+ or get very lucky and get a quick drop. I spent 30 hours there and gave up, better things to do with my time than chain pull mobs tbh.

I got shades 1/3 and 3/3 on exc within 2 hours of slow warrior / zerk / bb farming. :s

From my experience the scroll isen't that rare but it's hard to farm with nuking mobs etc.

You got lucky, quite a few guild mates and friends have spent day after day camping those bloody mobs. I myself spent 30 hours or so with 2 necro and 2 BB's, not one Shades 3of3 dropped. Another friend went there in a full group and they had 2x 3of3 drop in just over two hours, I know the system is supposed to be random occasionally that system can punish you very hard and mean that you waste dozens of hours with no reward.

The amount of seals my buffbotted necro could have farmed in those 30 hours would have bought the scroll on auction many times over, sometimes it is better to pay a heffty price and save your precious time

Popularity would mean more people trying to farm one, yet the camps are mostly dead. Do a seach on market explorer or the auction forum and you find very few being sold, the ones that are sold have fecthed a handsome price. People wouldn't be paying those prices if it wasn't a pain in the arse to farm. Low supply + High demand = high prices, logical?

SCrolls can and are a pain. If you're lucky then you are, buff said. Other people might not be.

Aye, after 1 week of nagging guild and trying to farm the scrolls i had no luck, so i bought them :E 10P is a good price imo, bought mine for a lot more, should be worth like 16p....nerf olez not tellling me bout it (lol olez, i know wot ur thinking )

Scrolldrops are RANDOM people .. some have a 99 in 100 chance to drop (like shades 2 of 3 I can cover my cottage by them from just random Devotee-agro) but others have a very small chance to drop ... so if you farmed 2 in 1 hour you got lucky... this does in no way make it easy

so stop claiming it's easy already .. you're making the unlucky kids cwy!

I know i was there for some of that time ;p but damn it was a boring 2 days tbh ;p

8 3o3 in 48 hours = 1 scroll every 6 hours. its still rare imho ;p

i bought the scrolls in housing (5p for 1 of 3 and 11p for 3 of 3) but cba to farm for the cloak after waiting 3 days in a row for a pop

if auction doesn't bring enough ill use scrolls myself and wait some more for encounter to spawn :x

Yep thats right, there was a guy in mid, that spent a total of 47 hours farming for Shades 3o3 both in a group of 8 and on his own. It finally dropped for him when he killed a warrior with a warrior/shaman duo.

It is a rare scroll sometimes you get super lucky and it drops in a couple hours, others you can spend a whole day and get nothing. Bit like Band of Ice was like in mid. Some got lucky and it dropped on the first couple pulls, others spent hours and hours and got nothing ;p
