[WTK] Actual formula for calculating swing speed

I'd like to know the effect of weapon speed, quickness and haste on weapon swing speed. I know there's a tool for it, but I'd like to have the formula.

I recently found that the effect of +nurture is quite big on the haste value of a warden, so I need to reevaluate my spec

My warden haste is 68, I assume that's not 68%? ( :

Another warden I know has 6 more points in nurture, and he has 76 haste... quite big a difference.

Haste value is twice as much as the actual haste %

So 34% for you

oh and delve value doesn't improve with more +skill items, delve will only show the base value of the spell without added bonus...

so he just has a higher level haste ;p

Hmm that's odd, because he swears his delved haste value is 76 (nurture 48 + 9, where I have 45 + 6) while mine is 68 : /

34 * 2 = 68 delve
38 * 2 = 76 delve.

Hmm so +nurture doesn't affect haste, and with 250 qui and a 4.4 blade, it's the difference between a swingspeed of 1.80 or 1.69.

I think I'll stay 45 nurt then

Stay 45 nurture and get stuff that will boost your swing speed in TOA. Artifacts can probably reduce your swing speed to 1.5.

The cap is 25% melee speed bonus afaik, check out this site for info about artifacts:

Hmm what about Mastery of Arms? ( : I'm not much of an item hunter. Where does the +3% from MoArms come into the formula?

I don't know if this is a bug, but in the current version of daoc in the us it works like this:

Whichever value is lower (buff haste or item haste (toa items only)) will be halved:

Say you have 34% from your own haste, and 20% from ToA items.

34% > 20%

20% will be halved = 10%

total haste is 44%

and of course mastery of the arms, qui is not included in the 44%
