Again I feel the need to begin by saying that under no circumstances do i condone child pr0n.

However.....

I work in a quiet seaside town and even i notice that parents dress young children up as young adult, with their hotpants and boob tubes. When i was young kids where dressed as kids and that was that. I have seen children in town and in the city that have half their bums showing and loads of make up on. These are undoubtably children of the sort of parents who would actively confront the suspect peado and hurl abuse and be appauled.

I agree in blocking the websites purely to deter the people who are turned on by this sort of thing, but also agree with the earlier comment implying it may encourage the people who just sit at home wanking to the pictures to go out and do worse.

In society nowadays i'm afriad the innocence of childhood is long gone. It has only happened in the last few years but is very evident. Inner cities and country children know far too much far too early and this encourages underage sex.

Also remember peadophillia is a sexual preferance and many of them do not rape young children or actively seek them. These are the people who are far deeper disturbed mentally. It should not be tolerated, but is no different in terms of preference to people who visit fetish sites. Many children are photpgraphed naked by parents at a young age without thinking of the implications.

My comment may not hold any water, but you're going to have to prove it wrong by some other means. You are comparing the 'normal' person's desire to be entertained, with a mental illness regarding sexuality.

People do not play violent games to cure their violent urges, they do it to be entertained. Peadophiles however, look at child pornography because they have those relevant urges.

I was thinking from the point of view; out of sight, out of mind. Whereas, you seem to be suggesting that if the images weren't there, then the paedo would fulfill their desires elsewhere...I'd say we're both correct, I suppose it depends on the individuals. (I wasn't pigeon-holing all paedophiles into the "mental" category, they're not all foaming mentalists you know.) Surely the biggest threat would be the "casual" paedo? The one who can control their urges to escape being caught. (Priests?)

The topic of porn in general; the notion of what's illegal, and what's not, is very subjective it, appears.
