Right first i thought i was going mad, then i realised that i was recieving the radio from the firepeople fighting a fire at the end of the street.

Through your PC speakers yeah ?? - mine do that for the police frequency's.

Freaked me out the first time it happened - i heard 'OK we're in position' then a loud hammering outside as they raided the house opposite !

Happened a dozen or so times since (worked out the range is about 100m) - but I only get one side of the conversation (and its quite quiet - the volume control wont make it any louder !!)

lol i remember once when my m8 was recieving radio through his guitar strings and then transmitted through teh speakers..

I regularly get people complaining about music in the background when they are on phone calls. I assumed they were either insane, or using a cheap cordless phone.

But no, if you have a really long telephone extension, it can act as a giant antenna, and seems to pick up jazz mostly.*shrugs*
