Well, they've stated they had to rollback because they had no other choice, which suggests that if they didn't, then whatever problems they were having would get worse.

What would you have said if they hadn't done the rollback but 1 day later the character database got corrupted as a result, and you lost your char forever?

Yes it's a pain in the arse and even worse that it's been happening far too often recently - but I'd rather that than a complete server crash over the weekend (read: no fix 'til Monday) or even worse, characters getting lost etc etc.
