Well, wasn't expecting too much of agreement on my point, not that i'm backing off the fact that it should've been put to sleep on birth.

And yes, it's "just" an animal, don't bring the "would you put a human with no legs to sleep at birth" into it.

I was asked if i was given the choice, so i answered it.

The facts here are:

You don't know either if the dog suffers, or if it doesn't.
It IS television and made to look, or not made to look, as it is.
You can't speak dog and as such, can't go either way in judging.

So what's left? Personal opinion and we all have the right to it.

And as such, enjoy the clip, look at the doggie as cute or heroic, don't, whatever, your call and you're right in your own way.

Pointless to converse the matter further.

If i was asked the question, right at birth with all my wits:

"So, you're ready to go into the world. You have two choices, back out or live your life without your arms/legs."

I'd back out for sure. doesn't sound too tempting.

But, it's a different matter when discussing an animal and humans.

I just don't find that doggies life to be in any way, shape or form "heroic" or "cute".

Assuming you knew what life was without arms/legs when before birth i assume, which you wouldnt coz you havnt lived without (i assume xD). You're saying people who lost legs/arms are in pain on a daily basis then. who the fuck are you to judge if people are in pain - you wanna plug every coma person in the world coz they might wake up not living normally omg! it sickens me that people think they're the judge of other peopls life quality (this is a dog, but its the same principle)

think about it. Now i give you the choice, i cut off both arms and you still live... now would you take your own life because you feel misery or would you try and adept into living normally, dont answer, just think about real carefully. I know there's too many things in life i wouldn't wanna miss just coz my arms are missing (not that im begging anybody to come and cut em off!)*

and think it's impressive the dog learned it, the show is corny and greasy but the dog looks awesome walking behind their chairs checking the room out

saying intelligence helps you adapt is fucking bull shit. intelligence has no bearing on anatomical function.

there's a difference between evolution and adaption, the dog learned how to adapt, 1 generation of dogs can hardly learn to adapt walking on 2 legs.

tho, it wasn't intelligence that made us go from the woods to other places, it was the requirement for our survival. Why would you want to go another place if you can survive one place, basic for any animal. (well i assume this, because i havn't studied the evolution of men that close, i cannot claim this)
