From what i have seen this is a pretty rare neckie. I have killed the salamander on many occasions and its never dropped.

afaik focus, but even then he shifts aggro
cabi (ml9 for easymode?), cleric and friar (heat res)

ml9 sorc bb and 1 or 2 earth theurg's (depending on PP) and u should be able to kill it

Servant Necro and BB. Keep bot at extreme range and he'll only ever dot the pet, done it several times like this. The more people you have the more complicated it can get to be honest DI helps a ton. Have it up when you start with a spare for backup, fire it as often as you have.

Takes forever (20-25mins) but does work.

did not drop ml6 last night eather on 65 ml6 i been host i been see it drop one time

If you ml9 with caba or focus with necro just make sure you dont cure the dot...thats been the crucial part the times Ive done it with ench. If you cure dot it wont break root on pet and that usually means sally goes for you.
