You should probably check out GReaper's CM, I know he crafts a lot and puts his MP items up for sale; I would guess his items are pretty reasonable in price, so it's worth a shot at least. /houseface 78 should take you there.

Edit: Make that a no-go, he just told me he isn't LGM AC - yet!

Fact.
Even if u gona order mps and and price will be made based on retrys its gona cost craploads less. About 18months ago Colton made me helm/leggs/arms and Mephistofelles made gloves and boots. Based on retrys it was boots 1p, gloves, 1.5p helm 5p, leggs 16p, arms about 6-7p i cant remember.

Ofc, every selling has the right to name his own price and only thing u can do is not to buy it if u consider the price is not good.

Im against the whine about overpriceing couse its pointless just find another seller ;)

tbh Im more shocked about chain prices in general in alb, seems way high compaired to mid. Dunno if its just mythic screwing alb over again, or just overpricing.

But seeing a pair of leggings on a CM for 9p was like o_O thats a full set of 99% chain in mid, get it SC`d and Alchemised with a bit left over to mess around with dye`s.

Thanks for the offer Dracco. If i had know it would cost that much i would have farmed more before posting. Back to pve for now i guess.

Just to make some things clear here:

a item is worth _exactly_ as much as someone is bidding for it.

If someone wanna give 50p for a full mp chain set a full mp chain set is worth 50p, simple as that.

Problem is money to different people is worth different amounts. To the afk macro trinketters, 50 plat is cheap. To the hardcore pve drop farmers, 50 plat is just about doable but expensive. To the casual player like me, who doesn't get much time after work, and doesn't macro, even 5 plat is a lot of money... Well done for ruining the economy, macroers. Seen it happen in UO and now DaoC :(

I'm not looking forward to buying mp chain for my cleric....

Well ofcourse during the course of the game money gets less and less worth due to the fact that it only gets more money into the game the longer people play. The above scenario that you describe applies to real life aswell as ingame, money is worth the same to everyone unless prices are different for different people. But there are rich people, middle class people and poor people.

If you play alot, you get alot. If you dont play alot, you dont get alot. How hard is that to understand!. This isnt some country irl, rich ppl dont give to the poor and the governtment doenst give you a place to stay or as you say it money. If you want to afford what people has for sale, then play more, and focus on what you want to get. If you do that, you can afford a chainset for a price of 50p, which of course is a fictional price i write.

You simply cant ask for alot, if you are "just" a casual player.

Yeah, but the amount of money flooding into the economy from mob gold and drop selling to merchants is almsot nothing compared to that of salvaged items.. I know of people who have made so much money from trinketting that they've had to store cash on alts... It's those people who are putting the money into the economy and causing this price increase... It's not toa, or the drops from it, It's not the powergamer pve'ers who seek out and attain all the rare drops, it's the trinketters. If there wasn't so much money floating about, prices wouldn't be so high. Salvage should never have been put into the game from non crafted items imo. I can't blame people for trinketting when the rewards are so high, but certain peopel like me, just don't have the time to do it so it's pretty unfair. Mythic should have realised what was happenning with this about the time DF was introduced and salvaging started up big time. In fact they did, but just didn't nerf the salvage value enough... One diamond mob in df drop maybea gold or 2 in coin and up to 150 gold worth of seals still... pretty stupid really..

More like if you salvage DF seals whilst afk a lot, you get a lot....

If you farm items, you are just gaining money from these people who are trinketting or other item farmers who inturn have benefitted from trinketting so in the end thats what it all comes down... Take away trinketting for profit, and you lower the price on everyhting, but the gap between the people who play loads and those who don't is lessened greatly...

If you win drops in lotto you can sell them for way high prices, that way you can start trinketing yourself when you have some cash to start with and can buy seals for good prices.

Yet again as in real life, there are good and bad ways to earn cash. Just don't whine on people or the system just because some know how to earn cash.

^^ Thats greed. Why lotto for something if your not going to use it, sure there are plenty of other people that would "use" the item not just flog it on to make a few plats.

Yeah it is greed. But it is the best way to get fast and easy cash.

Let me remind you.. THIS IS A GAME. Its not a financial planner, or get rich quick scheme its a game, fantasy game at that. There is no need for greed etc. Infact it wasnt for greed the game would be a much nicer place to play, as well as letting new players fit in without having to sell there kidneys to get started.

Aye like Battler 3o3. goes for upwards of 8p here, yet it drops off oj mobs. Sure the drop aint that good. Sometimes taking hours to get, but when you consider you make 1-2g a kill along with lots of loot and /salvage why waste 8p on a scroll when you can farm it yourself and make a plat or 2 while doing it.

Considering alb has 3 of the best PvE chars (Paladin, Necro and Minstrel+pet) whats with all the lazyness ;p

I always considering earning money, trading, buying cheap stuff and selling them for more cash one of the most fun parts in a game. Everyone should be able to play the game the way they want (except for cheating).

I agree, long as you're not rolling for stuff with no better intention than to sell it ;) Oh and if you think our market is badly inflated, have a look at Mid/excal :)

I know that the market on mid/excal is totally destroyed. If you wanna make money and control the market I guess Camlann is the best option.

I've never rolled for an item with the intention of selling it. I've been lucky of being to raids where I got good scrolls and got the possibility to sell them.

well, you don't get cash or drops you can sell in RvR :m00:
i started this game 9 months ago and my main is a merc. still I was able to buy a villa, spent 70p on artifacts and scrolls, skill up 4 LGM crafters and still have some cash left :p
one pattern i noticed so far: RvR players are poor most of the time, whining about 1.5p for spellcrafting ... PvE players (not surprisingly) are on the top of the cash ladder
and as for the MP situation at the moment: there are not many crafters around that are willing to take MP orders... so if you find one you'll have to pay the price as he can easily tell you to bugger off and find another crafter if you don't like his prices (as I would do 'coz many people don't realize how much work MP crafting is. example: I made myself 4 MP chain pieces, took me 3 days, doh)...
oh, and Emma, don't start comparing 99% gear with MP stuff ...

craft your chain yourself then or farm your scrolls yourself then...
