5,000 seals bought in 24 hours need few days to hinge then ill reopen for more

5000 seals for 11g = 55p
Make hinges of the seal and you make a profit of (14.7-11)*5000 = 18p
Each hinge takes 4sec and it's 2 asterite.. that is 4*(5000/2) = 10000secs = 2.7 hours.
18000 / 2.7 = 6666g / hour
Nice income / hour imo ... damn I need to buy some seals too now.. even though doing hinges is more boring then crafting

Add buying gear on top + the time it takes to salvage it. Buying weapons or armor for 5k seals is gonna take a bit more than 1 run to DF.
Salvaging a hauberk costing 22 seals takes like 146 seconds, and all of sudden that hourly income doesn't seem to good after all.

you could do other things during salvaging and hinging aswell . You could watch tele or make someone else do the hingin (some parents have admitted to letting them kids do it). If you earn money by killing mobs its more fun and more profitable, but you need to be active with every kill only during downtime you can do something else (which isnt that often if you doing the right mobs ).

i like math
buy 150 seals at 11g -- -1650g
buy 10 axes for it
salvage them all for 1000 asterite
make 500 hinges
sell them at 4.47g per hinge...for 2235g total.
profit is 585g.
u spend 7 secs to make 1 hinge - thus 3500 sec for 500 hinges
add there 1000 sec for salvaging those 10 axes for 1000 asterite -- 4500 sec.
include some time for running into DF for axes...lets say 500 sec. --- 5000 sec.
timed profit is 585g/5000 sec = 11.7 silver/sec = 7.02 gold / min = 421.2 gold/hour
if i camp umbroods with my SB-shammie for seals - i will receive around 600g per hour.

Urme, your calculation is not completely correct.
You have mixed up seals with asteritebars.
The best buy is the infernal caller for 18 dias, gives you 120 asteritebars. So you should divide your figures by about 6 for this, and the time is almost 7 s to make hinges.
To do this calculation again.
Salvage time for infernal caller = 120s
hingetime= 60*7=420s
Total time for 18 seals is then 540s
Your gain is 14.9g-11g per seal, which gives you a net gain here of 3.9*18= 70.2g
And calculated per hour this becomes; 70.2*3600/540=468 g/h
This does not take into account the time to go back and forth to DF to buy the weapons, which might take considerable time.
So I would say it is not for eveyone to do these boring hinges, for a profit that probably is lower than many can farm.
