Dia seals ! (been ages since I did this :/)

1sword = 18dia seals ?

1sword salvages into about 20metal bars ? (correct me if i'm wrong - 1 arcanium sword salv into 20ish bars so..)

20bars make 10 hinges

10hinges sell for 53g.

1000g in 1p so 1000x20 = 20,000 (20p)

20,000 / 50 (lets round it off) = 1,000,000.

1,000,000 x 10(hinges) = 10,000,000

10,000,000 x 2(2bars per hinge) = 20,000,000metal bars.

20bars per sword = 20,000,000 / 20 = 1,000,000

18seals per sword = 1,000,000 / 18 = 55,555.555555...

So in order to get 20p from dia seals you would need 55,555 dia seals.

Am I wrong or what ? I think I am... something looks wrong....

A lot less needed. A friend of mine who played during SI+ToA(Start of it) made roughly 500p in a few weeks by perma farming seals. I doubt he farmed like 10 million seals. So I think you're calculations are a tad off. Probably more like 5555 seals needed for 20p.

I think its time for Roalith to show up and teach us hinge lowbies a lesson!

From memory, a Longword salvages for 100 Asterite. Asterite sells 2.2 gold or so per bar, once hinged. So it's about 220 gold per sword. 20 plat from diamond seals (if it's 18 per sword) would take 1636 diamond seals ?

im sure u can get more profit by anything else then longsword as its just 12.2g/seal with ur numbers.
When i crafted i got atleast 15g/seal when doing hauberks and that would be 1333 seals for 20p

On the alb df merchants I buy the 2h slash sword for salvage. It cost 15 diamond seals and yields 100 asterite. That trinkets out to 'almost' (rounding) 225 gold per sword, so 1500 seals gets you 22.5p

one long sword is 15 seals and gives 100 asterite. 100 asterite gives you 50 hinges. Calculate from there.
