It doesn't even need to be that many. I think the main reason people would come back is for RvR so if we could get even 100 per realm in the RvR zones (and not just zerging keeps!) I think the cluster could come back to life.

I think that if we could even get 1-2 roaming groups per realm it could definitely draw more people back in.

Even WAR didn't have a decent endgame PvP system, it was too commercialised, DAoC is really the only one that comes close to being a distraction for me now

With a dcecent pop like 700 prime time i would play dyvet instead of .de but i doubt that ever happens so .de is the place to be atm.

Dyvet is dead, and its only Goa and Mythic that can change that by making it possible to play for free.

To make it possible Goa have to get some income from others than the players.

Some ideas
- Use the playerstock for distributed computing
- Advertisment in game

or just give everyone that plays WAR the same offer us old DAoC'ers got, joint subscription for both games.

playing DAoC for free on official servers will never happen, WAR alone cant pay for both its own servers and DAoC's.

Even at EU primetime there's a good pop, somewhere between 700-1.2k, and levelling/gearing is real easy nowadays.

Come join the german servers for RvR action, it rox...

I add on everything now with the mental actitude of - if its RED its DEAD. I havn't had this much fun in a long time on DAoC.

Infact all you guys should just TRY it. At first I wasn't too happy with the language barrier. But as soon as your character is equipped etc... its RvR and you tend to forget about the german language and in time you get to recognise what certains words are.

I for one speak English and I have no problem playing on the german servers.

If anyone wants to start on the german server and wants to play ALB and wants to create a guild to join our /as (Durka von Durka) English speaking /as.

Agree, I think the game is alive and kicking (lots of friend still playing, even the greeks are making a comeback now after their war adventure ) but its dead for me. I have no interest in any mmo atm Maybe later!

The problem is that Origins isn't gonna be pre-SI DAoC. CC is being changed, Alb is losing a class and Mid is gaining one...

TBH, if they put as much advertising into Origins as they did with WAR we'd probably see shedloads of people

On topic, no unless 500 was a stable pop on Dyvet, as for .de I have toons on stonehenge, I just cba levelling them a few levels to get that 50 and then the ml's etc.

For me atm, new mmo's is the way to go - or even old one's that I've not tried yet, which isn't very many

Even 32 people (4fg's) from each realm roaming a specified area surely would be enough to entice other players to join providing it was regular.

Now the tricky part, how easy would it be to persuade 128 people to re sub for a month to give it a go?
