It's low, but there are clips of jets making a lower pass.

We have jets doing low level training here in North Wales. They use the mountain valleys and passes to practice and they can get DAMN low.
One time I was halfway up Glyder Fach and heard the sound of an approaching jet. I saw it coming down the valley from Capel Curig and it was so low that it drew a wake behind it as it flew over Llyn Ogwen. I was also looking DOWN into the cockpit. :D

And yeah, I'd have flinched as well.

Aye that's my home territory or was anyway. Seem to remember being stood at the head of a narrow valley and having a jet pass 20-30 foot literally overhead doing 500-600mph. The jetwash would have put me and him on our arses if we hadn't been sat down!

My personal favourite of the youtube videos on that is Airliner vs People on Beach - 'ragdolls' springs to mind...

There's a Belgian airforce video of I think 2 mirage F1's doing a low pass.
The first you think that was low. Then all of a sudden no2 pops into view with the tail below the hangar edge or smt. Now that was a low pass.

Saw a swedish JAS pilot fly low, if he'd lowered the landing gears he would have touched down.

Fuck me. That's low - can't be more than 10 feet off the ground at the lowest point. Considering you hit serious ground turbulence (differential in air heat, thickness and ability to move) at high speed under about 50 feet or so, that's impressive flying!

Edit: On second thoughts, possibly more luck than impressive!

I love the quotes:

"OMG"

"Don't say that, you'll scare me"

"You wanna be scared Trev, shit you wanna be scared"

Classic :D

That said, can they stop fucking about with planes that I pay taxes for. As a teacher I never mess about with public-funded money <cough>. :p

There has been a big discussion about this in Denmark aswell, but all pilots need a certain amount of hours each year, so while they're "messing about" they are actually training and keeping up their skillz :)

Bit hard to defeat the Taliban when Pakistan are basically letting them take over part of the country (some placed called "Swat"). 65 miles from Islamabad. Oh yeah, Pakistan have nukes.
