Worst night of crafting EVER!

Well, I just logged off after doing 160 retries for MP chain legs. Not one of the fuckers was a MP. I've never had such bad luck. There really should be a warning that crafting can cause irl stress, cos I feel really really angry now and want to hit something.

FUCK.

Anyone else had as bad/worse?

i once spent about 4 plat trying to make a hat as so many retrys i was down to 0 plat, ended up buying one from housing for 3 plat so total 7 plat for a simple hat

worse experience i had was needing to make mp chain hauberk and 2 mp chain helms, cost me 10p to get the hauberk but amazingly got 2 mp helms straight after so didnt turn out too bad in the end.

mine was 317 tries for a MP small sheild, after i had already given someone a fixed price of 300G as you can imagine i was i mighty pissed after that.

i remember when lvlin alchemy i started getting albatives to orange so i had a go at them and it took about 70 goes before i made one and by then i had lost about 3-4p in ingredients

I think I've heard of someone doing 200+ retries to get MP Sleeves or something. Cruel game.

MP Odds are 1 in 50, so I suppose people should quote a minimum price of 50 retries + 20% profit (at least, for time spent crafting - as there are so many other ways of raising plats fast - DF farming, ML7 farming, scroll farming etc.).

Saying that I think you have to leave the cost of the item with the person purchasing it. It's just too risky setting a price.

I think crafters get a bit of a bum deal now - looks like SCing and Alchemy are the way forward. Would be nice to have a skill respec stone in Crafting :>

Hehe, worst for me must have been trying to make a 99%-greycon gem. Using 98 retries. And thats ONE gem out of 24 in that suit.

well it took me 110 tries to make 1 mp piercer then proceeded to get 3 mp and 4 x 99% outta the next 10. It seems to come in waves.

once made 2 mp lvl51 shield and 1 99% in 5 retries

bad thing was, i accidently sold the 1 mp back to merchant and blew myself up on the not-mp shield

remember when you used to have to make the studs or whatever it was .. whenever i would go for an mp i would run out, and while knocking them up they would ding fuking mp .... !

made me really quite annoyed rah.

Got 2 MP cloth legs in a row earlier , then i just made some MP studded legs and sold em back to merchant by mistake

I think I hold the mid wc record for selling MPs back to CMs, did it 3 times (or 2 times + 1 time I used it for input when making legendary weapon ^_^)...

Worst MP streak was 180+ tries for a large shield for a warrior in our guild. Next MP I made was a small shield for my own healer, made MP in 5 tries

Morale: don't take MP orders. At least I don't anymore, unless I know the person who orders it. Well.

Once made a mp studded sleeves in 3 try's for a zerker named exerone or something, was so pleased i sold the bugger for 800g or so

Use to make a mp in less then 10 try's stopped crafting after that next day i didn 't craft at all, day after that i had a mp in 10 trý's again. Might just be superstisious bull shit but worked for like 2 weeks then i got mp in 20/30 try's

I think one of my guildees crafted some MP gloves the other day in 180 tries. He wasn't best pleased and it cost him a small fortune.

Luckily I was going to offer to try and make them for him - and I would have gone bankrupt on that sort of run.
