Worst game you've ever played?

Lord of the Rings part 1 on the C64, the only good thing was inclusion of the Fellowship of the Ring and to think the Hobbit was a masterpiece but not quite best game of all time material.

No no no, you're all choosing games that were a disappointment rather than ones that were actually genuinely bad. The worst games ever are the ones that came out years ago on Spectrum/C64/etc. because there wasn't the same kind of quality control.

I'm not saying that no bad games come out these days but things have improved. The main difference is the price you pay for them I suppose.

I've never really sat all the way through a bad game. I only play good games. Having said that, there are a few I can think of that I just sort of didn't like. Final Fantasy 8 was dull and the graphics were very poor. And Quake 3 was lacklustre and boring. And Shogun: Total War is pretty pants if you ask me.

And whoever was dissing Simon The Sorcerer: in 1994 it was THE SHIZNIT. It totally owned. The 2nd one isn't very good though.

HEH!

THe only terrifically bad game I recall was Frontier: Elite II on my leet Amiga 600, but that have been down to my being about 10 at the time, and thoroughly unable to comprehend what I was supposed to be doing. It came with like 4 A3 space charts; daunting.

I think I must've barricaded the entrance to the section of my mind where bad games reside, as I can't think of any. I'm probably thankful.

Shogun was pants? Are all your dogs barking?

Shogun turned RTS from the crappy C&C who-builds-the-most-tanks-wins with fucking awful pathfinding AI into something quite marvellous.

In 1994, Mr Blobby had a number one single.

(Somehow, these facts seem related.)

It was originally invented as 'Limp Biscuit', I think... it's what one of the worst bands in the world named themselves after.

I didn't say it was the worst game ever, I just said I didn't like it. Perhaps RTS games are just not for me.

What stunning logic. The point I was making is that it is a very old fashioned adventure game with very dated graphics, which looked superb 8 years ago. But never mind, I'll just go put on Pink: Mr Blobby's Greatest Hits 1994-2001 and everything will be ok.
