i just added my 2p to the thread which yuck mentioned at the start heres what i said

what you call yourself should really bare no relevance at the end of the day - to play counterstrike you must either buy it from a shop or buy halflife - both carry an elspa 15+ rating on them - therefore you should expect to a degree more mature content

if some little kiddie is playing and there parents see someone on the screen is swearing or has a name which could be construed as such then it is the parents fault for either buying the game or letting their child buy the game in the first place - not the person who is swearing or has the "naughty" name

banning people as such is really not needed unless they are using such language in a personal attack on someone

CS isn't a fucking AOL chatroom for gods sake. If younger kids want to play they should do it at their own risk, if one of their parents sees loads of swearing and bans them from the internet then good, 1 less gimp. School would expose kids to far more swearing anyway. I prolly knew every word there is by the time I was 10, and heard them on a daily basis once I hit high school. Perhaps these ppl would want to ban their kids from school too.

That said, I spose a company has a right to choose what goes on on their servers. Even if that means doing retarded things.

We ought to make all these people watch Pulp Fiction through a couple of times, then see what they think of the swearing on CS servers.
