How come a third world country like sweden can get this before the uk?

dont sweden have like the most built out internet in the world? if you live in a city you can most likely get 100mbit here. Ive had 100mbit for 5 years and my brother for 10 years. Not rly third country foo shoo!

Most people have access to ADSL 8 mbit or 2 mbit depending on how far from the exchange they live. Pretty much anyone in the cities have access to 24 mbit ADSL if they want and stations all over the country is beeing upgraded to the "new" ADSL2+ standard.

i only have 2mb in the sticks (pay for "up to 8") though would much rather live in the country with 2mb than a stinking city on 8/10/20 whatever

Same here now (I think I get a little more than 2mb but not much), but i used to live in Cardiff and was paying for 8mb to get 1mb and that was on a new estate close to the city centre, go figure.
