Then listen to this:

- Glenglassaugh Cask samples pumped strait from the barrel: 1972, 1973, 1973, 4 year old Madeira & Masala
- Glenglassaugh: 1967 Red port finish, 1973 Aleatico finish & 1968 refill butt,
- GlenDronach cask strenght: 1971, 1978, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1993 Hand filled directors choice, batch 1 & 2 Cask
- GlenDronach Cask samples: 2 x 1994, 2 x 1995, 4 x 2003 + Glendronach 10 yo Bourbon pumped strait from the barrel (yes a pure GlenD bourbon, no you cant buy it! :p )

Yes I was paid to do it.
Also had the pleasure of dinning with owner Billy Walker and his mate David Hynes former Chief at Cooley in Ireland

I can understand that for some, this is regarded as liquid gold. I've tasted many a different Bourbon's and Whiskey's, though prefer some of the cheaper stuff such as Jim Beam Black 6yo. It works.

Luckily taste is all about preference, there is no right or wrong, and this is especially true for spirits such as whisky, Rum etc..
God knows they're expensive enough, so if you dont enoy it, then whats the point ? water, cola, hot, cold it's up to the individual consumer to decide tbh,
Now ofc. there are accepted and agreed apon ways to best enoy these spirits, but thats not nessersarily right for everyone.

anywho, if you prefer the cheep stuff, then lucky you tbh :p

Mortlach 50 yo, Ardbeg 1965, 1975, Brora 1981, Rittenhouse 25 yo Rye, Clement rhum 1953, Jamaica rum 1941, Glen Grant 1956..etc

My dad was in the whiskey trade, growing up in our house was awesome! However after many years of drinking it I still really dislike peaty whiskey ;(...
