Nukes can destroy the planet, but by flooding.
One nuke at the North pole and a couple at the south and we're pretty fucked.

Wonder what Saddam would do if he hold of one.

Thats not destroying the planet, it'll still be there afterwards. Wiping out life isn't as impressive.

They developed one of these in Wing Commander III. :) But in that world, theyre about 500 years more advanced than we are heh.

if saddam doesnt have any nukes handy, im quite sure he could adapt his lovely bio weapons in some way

problem with chemical warfare is the distribution method. hard to infect/attack people over a large area. only thing that could work is a virus but most deadly viruses travel through methods that expose it to the outside world, thus, reducing its potential as it becomes immobile

Ture, but all it needs is a covert attack on a water supply or similar target and thats it.

Well, no. The planet is still there, regardless. You're practically saying the other planets in our solar system (or anywhere) don't exist (or were destroyed) because there's no life on them. Not quite.
