I think you can use a Zech logarithm within finite fields to reduce a high degree polynomial not in the field to a lower degree element in the field.

I think that

[x] there has been half a dozen threads in this off-topic section about World in Conflict,
[x] those threads vanish fast because of the nature of the off-topic section,
[x] you should either dig up one of those threads or post in the RTS section.

It's an awesome game, been #14 at the demo ladder at some point when playing a week intensively. My copy arrived yesterday, going to install it today and play some and try to get me some medals in multiplayer.
