First person to get the game posts here straight away, then joins a server and gets some IDs.
Gives the IDs to 5 friends, who join, get some IDs, and give them out.
Do it over and over and over again.

Make sure that the first few people who get IDs are willing to buy some more though, or the whole thing will fall on it's arse.

Just read this. 
The alternate route is as follows. After you select your race, your defining features, and your starting class you are presented with a world selection / world pass screen. It will randomly choose a server for you, and you are given a yes/no prompt. You CAN hit "no" until you get on the server that your friends are going to be playing on. You won't have to create/delete until you end up with the correct server, there is a seperate place at the end of character creation that lets you accomplish this. As mentioned earlier in the thread, there are about 30 servers in Japan currently. I have no idea how many US servers they are going to roll out, so I don't know how many times you should expect to hit "no

i would offer to be WP leader and i wud farm more gil to buy more.
but imo wp leader shud be the first person who has recieved the game and posted on forum

Any server will do me - just not Caitsithp/b] couldnt stand that damn thing in FF7
