Well in my humble opinion you talking shit and i am 100% if Lampard was put up for sale today, barc, united, city, real madird ect would all be after him. Same to a lesser extent for Gerrard.

wtf is barca going to do with lampard? Iniesta and xavi are WAY better, even more if you know what playstyle barca has since cruijf.

lampard is just what they need against good teams; someone who can score from distance

Is there a fantasy world cup game anywhere like the premiership one we had? Obviously Turamber would win it as us mere mortals who dont go nearly as many games as he, know nothing about football, but we could always fight out for second place

I don't like fantasy leagues, makes me feel dirty having to root for opposition teams/players.

That metro one is a bit shit though. You can afford to just buy all the highest rated players

Lampard isn't technical enough to play on the continent, and he does not have the work rate to make up for it. Gerard on the other hand does and he inspires!

Yes I know Gerard has had a poor season by his own very high standards, but playing for a manager like Benitez this season I am not suprised.

Yep, you read it right cokenose; In Cal's fucked up Geordie mind, Gerrard is technically better than Frank Lampard......

Fucking hell Cal, you've come out with some wierd views over the last few days, but that one is just ridiculous.

On another note, been watching England's training session on sky sports. Sad to see Beckham being able to train but not play.

I never said Gerard was better technically (if you read it again properly), I said Gerards enthusiasm, work rate and leadership would make up for his lack of technical ability on the continent. Lampard does not have those attributes.

Barca would not touch Lampard, United wouldn't touch him, City probably would, Real don't need any more goal scorers, they need workers.

Are you having a laugh? United would snap up Lampard if he was available. Perfect replacement for Scholes and Carrick.

Also work rate: You'll have to answer to the Chelski mob for that one, but you are so wrong. Lampard works hard consistently, that's why he is so respected at Chelski, he never gives up and has very few bad games a year.

He is also very fit and hardly ever needs a rest due to fitness, unlike gerrard who seems to need 2 games off after every one he plays nowadays just to get his breath back.

That probably more to do with being played while not fully fit because without him Liverpool are garbage.

Gerrard hasn't been that good for most of the season, I wouldn't write him off though as I think its more of a problem at Liverpool rather than a problem with Gerrard. Out of the two though I think Lampard is a much better all round player and works his arse off for the full 90 minutes.

Not writing him off, just actually astounded that Cal thinks Gerrard works harder than Lampard.

Are you going to apologise for saying I had a fucked up mind ;)

Anyway it's a world cup thread, Gerard wll be played out of position as will Lampard, we'll under perform. then the whole debate about them playing in the same team will resurface.

Come on the England!! and South Korea I fancy them to cause a few upsets along with the USA!!!

Will you stop writing us off and criticising the team and Capello's tactics before the first match is even played? It's highly fucking irritating, typical of the mentality of fans in this country.

None of us actually know how he will play them, he was right in qualifying and has an excellent record for us in competitive matches, so why all the doubt now?

Get behind the team, and leave your whinging for later.
