I`m still showshocked. Great performance by the german team! I have always been a sceptic so far, but after this game, I think we really have a chance for the big pot (although Holland is still very strong).

Some (maybe not so polite, sorry, I`m drunk) thoughts on the match:
Argentinia.... GOOD riddance! Almost all artgentinian players were bad sports, "dying" after each tackle and asking for a card. Football doesn´t need that kind of behaviour. England was FAR more sporty, and I DON´t say this because we won.
The german team is a unit, that´s obvious now. It´s going to be a tough match against Spain, but considering their performnance tonight, I guess they (=Spain) lost their confidence. Might be a plus for Germany in the next round.
Müller was awesome, but he´s gonna be missed next match.
Podolski is wasting too many chances.
Özil is dribbling too much.
Klose.. well... he´s a true goal getter. Not sure how he makes it, not sure how he´s able to do it with his physique, but somehow, he does it. *hats off*

Looking forward to GER-SPA now.

I think if Germany don't win it this year then they will do in 4 years time. They are supposed to be a young squad but they are showing all the signs of the finished article. They took Argentina apart. Going to stick a tenner on them winning now.

Germany really desrve it now imo...

look at their path to the final

England-Argentina-Spain-(Holland?)
would make for a truely undesputed champoin sdie

Holland have had it quite alot easier

If it's Germany vs Holland/Uruguay I'll root for germany
If it's Spain vs Holland I'll root fpr Holland

as long as Uruguay get sent home in 4th place, they should have been out of it long ago
oh and fell asleep to a spain match yet again, 3 in a row! ;)
they might be effective, but god it's boring to watch

noo, they'll get silver. I don't think they can beat Germany, but El Loco will bang in a few goals against netherlands, now that Suarez doesn't play :D

Yes beating Brazil whas piss easy...

Also I wouldnt underestimate Uruguay.

Is there some part of the word easier you fail to comprehend ?

I dont t hink anyone would underestimating Uruguay at this point.
But compared to the ulternatives,
they are still the weakest of the 4 finalist.

Wonk,
I hope not,
would be far more entertaining to see a Holland vs Germany final
talk aout classic ;)

Although we have yet to see Holland deliver on their potenltial.
Holland got lucky vs Brazil "who imo where the better side"

Does anyone think that the fact a lot of these players have used that ball for a year makes a difference?

(adidas spokesman) Schaikvan said the Jabulani ball had been used extensively in Germany’s Bundesliga as well as by France and Argentina - who are sponsored by Adidas - and other leagues such as Austria, Switzerland, Portugal and United States.

The ball was also tested by Chelsea, Real Madrid and AC Milan.

As far as I know, there was ONE official Bundesliga match with the ball and that was Bayern Munich - Mönchengladbach in December 2009.

No?

Do you see me saying somewhere that Holland hade it more difficult then Germany? Less trying to be smart. I'm just trying to say Holland didnt have it easy aswell.

Then again I can see people argue that beating Brazil > England + Argentina + Spain :D

This WC has seen old reputations beeing shattered (England, France, Italia) and new ones born (Chili, Japan). Hardly any game went the way people predicted. Germany beating Argentina 4 - 0??? Spain having a hard time against Paraguay???

All the usual suspects where playing shite aswell (Rolando, Drogba, Messi, Torres, prolly a few more).

It's a refreshing WC thus far.

im sorry but blaming the ball is just a crock.

Not really, pundits who have used the ball say it's like a beachball. Hard to control, and very unpredictable in flight.

How can the top players show their skill when they cannot control the ball? How can lesser players even hope to? There has been a distinct lack of brilliant goals and ball control this tournament. Adidas are blaming the altitude, it begs the question why the ball was not tested at this sea level? At the end of the day, it's worth massive money to Adidas, and they will not accept any blame.

This is not like previous world cups when only the goal keepers have been moaning, when coaches and outfield players are having a moan then you have to realise something is wrong.

Also some teams who normally show very good ball control and passing are looking sloppy with this ball. You can only blame so much of players having a bad tournament,

btw i never meant to suggest this as a reason why England went out. Just maybe why the germans seem to be moving this ball about so much better.

Apparently you felt the need to comment on the fact that I said that
Holland have had it easier, not easy. it's simple,
do agree with that or or not ? jugding by your need to comment on it #1900
suggest you disagree ?

I don't see anyone arguing that perspective,
but it's a free world afterall

What's the difference between Emile Heskey and Harvey Price?

No, seriously, if anyone can figure it out, tell me.

Katie Price's (aka Jordan's) disabled son. It was a joke in very poor taste.

Oh give over, it's a joke. It's not taking the piss out of the boy. It's simply pointing out that Emile Heskey is no different than a blind kid.

See what you made me do? You made me explain the joke. Shame on you. Shame.

I think its a bit more than being blind. I feel really sorry for the poor lad, nobody should have to go through what he has to go through, I mean he has Jordan as a mum ffs, poor fucker.

I didn't make you explain the joke. You had to explain the joke because it was shit. You could have made a Stevie Wonder joke if you really thought the blind thing was funny....

Also I simply stated it was a very poor taste joke but that's because it is. I didn't complain about your joke or neg rep you for it. I just described what it was, incase somebody didn't realise it was meant to be a joke.

But hey even if I would say they hade it harder so what? No need to get all aggro on me. Whas merely trying to put things into perspective by mentioning that beating Brazil whas by no means easy. One could argue that England and Argentina where playing so shite that Germany did have it easier (note to you, i'm not trying too).

Who cares anyway.

I don't see anyone arguing that perspective,
but it's a free world afterall

I'm not trying to argue in the first place. Let's get back on topic and talk about football again, instead of semantics. Ok?

Wow, who put a rod up your arse Cadelin? It's not like Harvey Price is ever likely to read this forum is it now?

And comparing him to Stevie Wonder would not have worked, Stevie Wonder has talent and a successful career.

one is famous, who the fuck is harvey price?
According to Answers.com:

Harvey L. Price was a career professional Scouter in the Boy Scouts of America, and was appointed the sixth Chief Scout Executive of the BSA National Council, serving from 1976 to 1979.
He led the efforts to return some of the more traditional outdoor program emphasis to the Boy Scout program for boys ages 11–17.

Katie Price's (aka Jordan's) disabled son.

Oh right.. guess that kinda makes more sense. ;)
