Who do you think was the most outstanding player of the World Cup tournament ? Yes Zidane got it, but who SHOULD have won it ?

Zidane ? Ronaldo ? Beckham ? Henry ? Klose ? Ronaldhinio ? Rooney ? Fabrigas ? Podolski ? Valencia ? Maniche ? Buffon ? Zambrotta ? Ballack ? Pirlo ?

All your big names underperformed somewhat...

Cannavaro, Zidane(apart from that butt, really rolled back the years), Klose, Ballack, Owen Hargreaves

In the games he played, Appiah was top drawer. Just a shame Ghana didnt get further.

He might be on the way to Arsenal to replace Sol Campbell. All depends if Fenerbache(Appiah's club) take Sol on a free ;p

hehe...must be one of the most difficult names for foreign people. It´s "Schweinsteiger". Ballack played dreadful btw.

THE positive surprise in this WC for me was Franck Ribéry from France. Amazingly fast and ambitious. Not quite on top of the pantheon, but he´s on his way, I`m sure.

Other names in no particular order:
Hargreaves, Klose, the Right-Winger from Netherlands... van Persie (?).

Booo´s go to:
Ronaldo, the italian guy who managed to stumble over a sitting player, the ref who booked a player three times, Pekermann for the disastrous decision to exchange Riquelme.

Wasnt best team (afteral that is the winner), it was most entertaining team. And they were by far the most entertaining. There mix of a little bit of football, some boxing and some superman auditions was of great comedy value. Had me laughing and crying :D

They actually closed the voting for the award before the second half of the final, so they didnt get to witness the headbutt before voting. :)

Lahm, not only did he score a great goal (his first one EVER) but he played amazingly, he is a sick wing-back.

Fabio Grosso played very well offensive, Philippe Lahm(sp), Thuram, Cannavaro,
Manische + several others. Defensive players were the best ones in this tournament, that says alot.
