Got our work away day / team building day tomorrow, and I'm 90% certain its gonna suck

We're combining a treasure hunt type thing with a race up Pen-y-Ghent with extra points for making it in a certain time limit.

Those who know me know I'm not built for speed (hah!), but even still that seems pretty crap, especially given the weather forecast is for rain all day tomorrow

What are other people doing for office away days etc?

Anyhoop. I always like to take those "team spirit uplifting" days as a good chance to....ruin it completely.

Start rumours, ruin the event by telling something that's not supposed to say, do something like fart in a bottle and give it to your co-workers when their out of breath claiming it's a new fresh air in a bottle remedy.

Go wild, go "gone wild", flip out your booblies and take a picture so we here at Freddys can enjoy the day just as much as you would if you were a middle-aged mindless drone sucking up to the boss, and not in the good way.

Tbh Nae, I love office days. I always tell myself every year I will act like I did on my outdoor activity week at school.

I love running around in the rain with a map, in some forest, getting soaking wet and dirty as hell. Reminds me why I love being aliev so much.

Give more days out!!!!!!!!

The most important thing is that you atleast try and work as a team, that way the day cant be a failure, even if you dont get to the finish line.

I done a treasure hunt when I was training to be a Holiday Rep, half of the teams didnt even finish. However the next day at training the whole group was closer together, we all understood each other. It was the first time I have seen the impact of a team building exercise.

Our latest "team empathy for senior managers" was wierd. All the managers took it in turns to sit in a chair for 120 minutes while everyone else told you what they thought of you. No holds barred. Was brutal.

But apart from such phycho-babble bollocks, it usually involves a weekend away, generally centered on the hotel bar for 48 hours lol

I keep having to go to really expensive overpriced meals and days out, we don't have to pay for anything, even leaving parties are funded by the company. I have never worked anywhere like it.

Haha, reminds me of last week (Induction at the college I go to) Gotrag and myself had to work with like 4 new people.... Took less than 10 minutes for one of the people to piss us all off and end up arguing with him... Fun ><

Team-Building exercises are allways better when the people you try to do it with arn't complete ****** ******* (Yes, I'm on a no-swearing policy for the next 15 minutes)
