I got 3 mates into a BTCC race meeting once, just rocked up in my car, shouted 'TV CREW!!!' to the guy on the booth, and he waved us through Got around the corner and kicked my mates out, went and did a day's work, then picked them up outside 12 hours later

And the tight sods didn't contribute to the considerable petrol bill

Ok, more details announced today. Some matching what was expected, a few differences.

Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic (22-4-2) vs. Gabriel Gonzaga (7-1)

Michael Bisping (12-0) vs. Elvis Sinosic (8-9-2)

Forrest Griffin (13-4) vs. Ryoto Machida (9-0)

Fabricio Werdum (9-2-1) vs. Andrei Arlovski (10-5).

Werdum popping up as well now in the UFC - Pride are starting to slowly lose some of their top end - though I wonder how long before Fedor shows up in the UFC now...he has a 1 fight deal with Bodog as well so I don't think his Pride contracts are long ones at the best of times..

Gutted I am flying to the States on the 21st so will miss UFC and Cage Rage 21 - will have to get some internet streaming going as soon as I get to the States methinks!

Would have loved to have seen a live UFC event but guess will have to wait for the next one now

Still getting some signed Bisping gloves in the next week or two so that should make up for it a little but

Yup, and so far theres absolutely nothing announced for their next Japanese show - first weekend in April. You dont need to understand Japanese to see the total lack of information about it on their Jap site ...

That said their US show this weekend was pretty damn good, even if they have lost a few folks lately and brought in what are (on paper at least) inferior replacements.

Thats a weird one though, his contract apparently allowed him to fight with other organisations in Russia. His contract was only just extended iirc, so dont expect to see him elsewhere too soon.

The thing with Fedors contract with Pride - I dont think its ever been confirmed for how many fights it is. I missed the first Bodog - been looking on teh web for second season and not come across it yet. I have just gotten the Pride show from the weekend so gonna hopefully watch it tonight - been staying away from all me MMA forums and dying to know if Dan managed to pull off teh upset and dick Wandy - which in a way I don't want to see happen because it will hurt Wandy's stock for the Chuck fight (which will probably never happen unless the UFC buy Pride out)

Your options at this point - call the M.E.N ticket office direct, try ufc.com - might have to sign up to their membership thingy - think its $24.99 or 464.99 or something like that - was checking it out for earlier ticket purchase - before I found out I was out of teh UK

Other than that maybe try a few other ticket sites / ebay or....go Cage Rage - granted Bob Sapp v Rob Berry could be the biggest mismatch I have seen since King Kong v small dude with spear, but Belfort is on the card as well - though opponent unknown currently for him...thats 2 decent(ish) names to go see, and for £50 you will get a decent seat to be fair - the £100 ones are no better, the £200 ones are mint.

I would have defo for the UFC - doubt would drop £200+ on a Cage Rage - though for that I think you get free waitress service and free beer so its not that bad... but £250 for Mirko, AA , Tito and the rest, fuck yeah - might not get chance to see such a good card next time in the UK - they are gonna blow out on the first event here since UFC 37.5..

I missed the first Bodog - been looking on teh web for second season and not come across it yet.

PPV was crap, badly put together show featuring dull fights (and possibly the worst ring announcers ever): avoid at all costs.

As for the show (which is really just ppv hype but anyway) its freely downloadable so theres no reason to be looking around the dark and dingy corners for it. http://www.bodogfight.com/series-2/episodes/01 for ep1, etc

ooo finally saw Pride 33 last night - well the Diaz Gomi and Wandy Hendo fights - all I can say is...fuck me what a fight between Diaz n Gomi ( I called it pre fight as well I swear) ..and Wandy Hendo wasn't bad at all either but fucking hard to live up to the fight before it on the card to be fair..

I won't say anymore in case anyone is going to watch it anytime soon...well...I will say something so don't look down!!!!!

I have to take my hat off to Randy, I wanted him to win but thought he had no chance at all - what a fucking legend that dude is....awesome!!!

Some great fights on that UK card - AA v Werdum and Griffin Machida could end up being 2 cracking fights imo.. Bisping should destroy Sinosic (at least I fucking hope he does!!) Gonzaga might give Cro Cop more trouble than Eddie Sanchez but I will be almost as shocked as I was with Randy if Gonzaga can take Cro Cop out - Gonzaga is a good fighter I would be very very very impressed if he could stop Cro Cop - maybe LnP on him for 3 rounds but stop him....nah.
