hi, im new to BW, and i must say im very impressed (although the transfre timeout of 120 seconds on the ftp server is anoying). anyway..

im having problems with a counter i got from somewhere, its working, but not how its supposed to (something im sure you lot have heard many times before). i just want you to test this page:

http://www.dhm.barrysworld.net/dailystats2/demo.php

then click on "visitors", and tell me if there is more than one record (this is bit which i dont think is working right), if the ip address is yours and if the host is yours.

i really hope i can get this script working

This was covered in the hosting page. When you use the www.xxx.barrysworld.net domain, you're actually going through a proxy to the hosting box, so it's the proxy address that will be seen by your script.

Your direct address would be:
http://hosted.barrysworld.net/dhm/dailystats2/demo.php
Now it will see you rather than BW. However it appears to be recording the ntlworld proxy rather than my actual IP address, so i'm unsure of what actual use it will be to you.

im not sure why it wont record your correct ip, because it records mine correctly.. maybe some more testing required. Anyway, its not as if ip is important, i can think of may different things which would more useful. thanks again
