I spent much of my teenage years in mortal confusion because guys would flirt with me and send out the 'hay babe' signals; then when I responded (and by that time had usually developed a crush on them) they'd go all funny.

usually it was for one of several reasons:

1) they were only doing it to make another girl jealous
2) they were doing it because they were bored and it was something to do
3) they did like me, when they thought i wasn't interested...when I showed I was the thrill of the chase had gone

I can only assume girls operate on the same lines...though if I liked someone I used to tell them and if they liked me back sex would occur, if not i'd be a bit upset for a while then move along, so I could possibly be wrong but that is how I understand it anyway.

We didn't speak in person. She lives in another country and we didn't have time to get to know each other the last time, i don't know if it makes a difference. We will meet up in a month or so.
