man how unlucky is that? i mean the steve irwin thing was freaky but not unbelievable but afaik sting rays arn't known for leaping out the water (like for instance dolphons) i wonder what made the ray jump in the first place?

While the ray was in the boat it was wriggling forwards trying to eat the rest of the crew.
