Is there anyway to stop Media Player from loading in the left bar in explorer when I click a media file? MP3's are associated with Winamp.

If I click a file the PC freezes for 2/3 seconds. Guess its reading information from the file.

isn't that disabled by using the classic windows folder thing? extra > folder options > use classic folders (translating from dutch here)

Sorry, I got completely the wrong end of the stick, I read 'explorer' as 'internet explorer'. Must be out of practice Sorry.

Just a quickie I believe that in IE6 SP2, the Media Bar no longer exists. If you're not running Windows XP, or cannot update to Service Pack 2, then try Googling for what you're after. Microsoft's Media Bar page may be of some use, especially the setting preferences page.

Of course evangelists would have you switch to Firefox, which is indeed rather special, but the choice is yours.

Another Media Player related question:

Since I installed WMP 10, all my MP3s have the following options attached to their context menu:
Add to Sync list
Add to Burn list
Add to Now Playing list
Add to playlist...
Play in Windows Media Player

Any ideas on how I get rid of the buggers? My MP3s are associated with iTunes, if that's any help...

Thing is I like the preview thing for viewing images etc.

Guess ill go back to pre v9. 9 has always been crap on Win 2k.
