I've had me cable modem for 2 years now, and arse ups like this are UBER rare in Belfast, like twice a year tops.

Belfast is easily the best NTL franchise in the UK for reliability.

As for the others, there was:

Food (the founder, not seen him in yonks)
Flap (co founder again not seen in ages)
Nap (became ROK Dingo, then Pussy[KAT] then CoG MAXIMUM or something, long story not seen him in ages either, saw him at I3 and online a bit after that)

Come to think of it, the only KAT i've seen recently is big[KAT] (who as it happens lives opposite me, and is me best mate)

WPKenny doesnt ring a bell from those days though, were you always called that?

I started on wireplay quake2, but lost interest quickly, then spend an entire summer working up an incredible phone bill playing MotS on the zone!

After that, I went back to wireplay and got in to quake 2 properly.

so somebody discovered that he was "maximum" so he changed his name to "E^Z"

right:

The whole time, he was 'E^Z Dave'. He joined KAT (before I did) and became [KAT]nap (it was a thing with kat related names for the clan, lame I know). After a while, he got offered a place in THC (grandmasterdaddies of wireplay) and became [THC]E^Z. Then he wanted to come back, but not tell the thc peeps that he was moving back, so called himself Pussy[KAT] (he did leave thc iirc, just didnt wanna tell them he was moving back to KAT). Then he decided he wanted to leave KAT, said he wasnt gunna play quake2 for a bit. Then joins CoG as MAXIMUM. after a while, it comes out that he's maximum, i'm fairly miffed as are a few other KATs. He apologised (quite lamely :] ) and changed back to E^Z. (edit: but stayed in CoG)

And that was that.
