Wireless Channels

I've always wondered this, whats the easiest way to tell what channel a wireless network is on?

I live in a terraced household and there are about 4 different wireless networks around me, which I suspect are all set to channel 1, the same as my current network, so I'd like to change it to an unoccupied channel. Anyone done something similar?

I was more hoping for one that people could recommend based on personal experience, but hey, facetious humour works as well. Cheers!

Had a look at the netstumbler program, but unfortunatley it doesn't support my wireless network card for some reason :/ Shall have a further google round for people who've experienced similar issues.

Try "inssider" - graphical, easy to use, works on all chipsets.

Use it all the time for this sort of thing, easy one-glance to see what networks are on what channels _
