Wireless at 11g

I am trying to get my wireless connection between laptop and network running at full speed, that's 54mbps for the 802.11g standard.

I am absolutely sure I had my setup running at this speed once, but after much faffing around I don't seem to be able to go above 11b standard (11mbps).

Both Wireless AP (Netgear WG605) and PC Card (3com OfficeConnect 11a/b/g) are capable of 54mbps operation.

I've tried turning off all security, and reset the AP.

Any clues ?

Have you checked for any setting to force it to run at 54mpbs? I know I had one on my NIC, perhaps it could help.

Downside being that you wont be able to connect to a 11mbps network without changing it back.
