Guys,

The default Windows XP logon lists the different users in the welcome screen that can logon (which may/may not include the "Guest" account)

I seem to have done "something" which now no longer displays the choices, but prompts you with userid and password.

I WAS trying to link my laptop to my PC and changed a few settings. Anyone have any clues how to get back to "default"?

Try this:

go to the control panel / user accounts / change the way users log on and off...

and check/uncheck "use welcome screen"

Mkay, using a swedish WinXP I am, but I'll try and guess the translations ;D

Right. Control Panel, Users or User accounts or whatever it is. Logon options, tick use welcome screen. Should sort it. If the translations are wank at least you'll have a general idea.
