lo again guys hope ya not gettin fed up of the questions im looking for a decent utility tool that will show me the temp and speed of my cpu/fan but ive got no idea if theres a specific tool thats a must have etc

my mobo is a gigabyte P35C DS3R runnin a quad core chip in it

There is nothing wrong with gigabyte's own easytune program, though if you don't like all the colours and pictures then have a look at CPUID

As Mazling says, the manufacturer's tools are fine, although there are a great many programs out there for simple monitoring (SpeedFan, Sandra etc.).
